Cloudlifter CL-4 targets live sound, broadcast applications

FRANKFURT, GERMANY, March 12, 2014 – The new Cloudlifter CL-4 rack from Cloud Microphones will make its European debut at this year’s Musikmesse. Housed in a rugged steel enclosure, the CL-4 can process up to four XLR feeds simultaneously and is ideal for broadcast, live sound, and professional studio applications.

The CL-4 is based on Cloud’s award-winning Cloudlifter technology that converts phantom power into an additional +25 dB of ultra-clean gain for low output dynamic and ribbon mics. Cloudlifters solve problems posed by noisy preamps and can be used to drive stronger, cleaner signals over long XLR cable runs. The single rack space CL-4 is simple and compact, featuring four rear-mounted sets of balanced XLR inputs and outs.

"We’ve had an almost constant demand for rack-mounted Cloudlifters," says company founder Rodger Cloud. “It’s great to finally be able to accommodate those requests.”
